The mother of former PTI leader Usman Dar accused PML-N stalwart Khawaja Asif and the police of raiding their Sialkot home, with Asif and the police denying the allegations. She shared a video on social media, calling on the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of the incident. Usman stated that he had left politics but would never abandon his mother, and posted alleged voice recordings of his family from the incident. In response, Asif denied pursuing vindictive politics and criticized the use of family for political dramas. The Sialkot District Police Officer stated that the raid was conducted to arrest Usman’s absconding brother, Umar Dar, who was a suspect in five cases. The Dar family’s complaints of police raids and mistreatment are not new, with previous incidents in August resulting in their house, factory, and businesses being sealed.
