Pakistan likely to receive new installment of loan from IMF by 29th April

Islamabad: The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) may approve Pakistan’s second economic review and the next installment of $1.10 billion on April 29.
The Ministry of Finance sources say that the IMF Executive Board will also approve the installment of $1.10 billion for Pakistan along with the economic review.
After approval from the IMF Board, Pakistan will receive the final installment of the loan under the Stand-By Arrangement Program, and the program will be completed after the installment is received.
The Ministry of Finance sources say that after this installment, discussions for the next program of $6 to $8 billion could start in May.
