Pakistan Observes Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with Devotion and Fervor

Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), the celebration of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, is being observed with great religious zeal and enthusiasm throughout Pakistan today. The day commenced with a thirty-one-gun salute in the federal capital and a twenty-one-gun salute in all provincial capitals.

After the Fajr prayers, special prayers were offered in mosques for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the progress and prosperity of the country. Various conferences, events, and Mehfil-e-Milad gatherings are being organized to honor the final messenger, whose life and teachings serve as a guiding light for all of humanity.

In honor of this auspicious occasion, buildings, streets, roads, mosques, and houses have been adorned with vibrant lights. Numerous activities, including processions, seminars, conferences, and discussions, will take place nationwide to commemorate this annual religious event.

The government has declared a national holiday on this occasion, allowing people to fully engage in the festivities and focus on their religious obligations.

Messages from the President and Prime Minister

President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar have extended their greetings to the nation and the Muslim Ummah on the blessed day of Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him).

In his message, the President emphasized that the arrival of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the greatest and most blessed event in history. He highlighted that the Holy Prophet’s life embodied obedience to Allah Almighty, justice, compassion, and love for all human beings. The teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are timeless and offer guidance for countless challenges faced by humanity.

The President called for unity among all forces seeking to disrupt harmony within Pakistan.

In his message, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar urged the nation to align their lives with Islamic principles and spread the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He emphasized that Muslims are fortunate to follow the Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon Him), who brought mercy to the world.

The Prime Minister highlighted that the Prophet’s character and actions serve as examples of compassion, tolerance, and love. He encouraged the nation to embrace the values of brotherhood, love, and compassion emphasized by the Prophet, striving to make His message a guiding light for unity and brotherhood among Muslims and people of different faiths.

He prayed that Pakistan becomes a cradle of peace, progress, prosperity, and brotherhood, allowing individuals and society to live in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
