Islamabad: An agreement has been reached for the upgrade of the identity card system between Pakistan and Nigeria, under which the identity card system of the rare African country will be upgraded.

According to a spokesman for Nadra, a high-level delegation from Nadra is currently in Nigeria, where they have signed an agreement with the Nigerian Identity Commission in the capital Abuja, under which the national identity card system of Nigeria will be upgraded.

Nadra’s national identity card system has been in use in Nigeria for over 15 years, and under this system, more than 102 million national identity numbers (Nigerian identity cards) have been issued in Nigeria.

Nadra’s national identity card technology is also in use in Kenya and Somalia, in addition to Pakistan and Nigeria, with these four countries accounting for approximately 8% of the world’s population and being the third largest group in terms of numbers, thus making Nadra an organization that provides identity services to the third largest group of the world’s population.
