The irrigation minister has appointed officials to form committees in order to reclaim government lands and prevent encroachment. Superintendent Engineer Zaheer Ahmed Memon will lead the committee for Rohri Canal Circle Hyderabad, while Superintendent Engineer Ashfaq Noah Memon will head Khairpur Irrigation Circle Sukkur. The committees are responsible for compiling lists of all properties owned by the irrigation department, including lands, plots, and bungalows. They will also identify encroached lands and compile lists of the individuals responsible, including their names and identity cards. The committees are required to submit their recommendations within 15 days.
