PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari urged for an end to the tradition of governments being ousted before the completion of their five-year terms. Addressing an election rally in Peshawar, he expressed hope that the next government would bring an end to this system and assured that the PPP would work towards unity and prosperity, putting an end to divisive politics.

Bilawal criticized the PTI and PML-N for engaging in divisive politics and making personal attacks. He also accused the PML-N of altering the route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and diverting funds allocated for CPEC to the Orange Train project.

He took a swipe at PTI founder Imran Khan, stating that he had adopted a non-democratic course after being removed from power. Bilawal urged people not to waste their votes on independent candidates and emphasized that the PPP could steer the country out of the prevailing crisis if voted to power.

Meanwhile, PPP Vice President Senator Sherry Rehman launched the party’s manifesto ahead of the 2024 general elections. She emphasized the need for a strategic reset and highlighted the party’s plans for incentivizing entrepreneurs, encouraging public-private partnerships, and ensuring that growth benefits reach every stratum of society.

Rehman also outlined various initiatives planned by the PPP to address issues such as food insecurity, healthcare accessibility, and social safety net expansion. She emphasized that the party’s economic agenda forms the heart of its new thinking on creating a social contract with the people of Pakistan.

In conclusion, she called for political will and public consensus to reboot Pakistan’s growth and governance and urged the masses to rally behind the PPP’s young leadership for transformative change.
