Israel’s war has not only decimated Gaza’s already struggling medical infrastructure, but has also led to the destruction of the last major medical facility in the region, the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. According to the World Health Organization, 627 healthcare workers, including doctors, nurses, and ambulance drivers, have been killed by Israel between October and January. With limited supplies entering Gaza, the 2.3 million Palestinians living in dire conditions face an uncertain future. Host Steve Clemons discusses the situation with Dr. Thaer Ahmad, an emergency room physician who recently volunteered at Nasser Hospital, and Dr. Muaiad Kittaneh, a haematologist/oncologist and co-founder of the Palestinian-American Medical Association.
