Divya Pahuja, a model from India who spent six years in jail for the murder of a gangster, was shot dead in a Gurgaon hotel.
According to a report by an Indian news agency, five men took her to the hotel where she was fatally shot in the head.
Three of the five suspects have been arrested by the Indian Police. The accused were captured on security cameras placing the body in a BMW car to dump it.
Notably, Divya Pahuja made headlines after she was suspected of being involved in the fake encounter of gangster Sandeep Gadoli on February 6, 2016.
Divya Pahuja, her mother, and five other police officers were arrested in connection with the murder case.
Gadoli’s rival Virendra Kumar, also known as Binder Gujjar, reportedly orchestrated the murder with Haryana Police and used Divya Pahuja as a “honey trap” in the conspiracy, as per Indian media reports.
The model spent six years in jail before being released on bail by the Bombay High Court in June 2023.
