Lahore: The People’s Party has nominated Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for the position of Prime Minister. The meeting of the Central Executive Committee of Pakistan People’s Party was held under the chairmanship of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former President Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House Lahore. Asif Ali Zardari nominated Bilawal Bhutto as the candidate for the position of Prime Minister, which was unanimously approved by the Central Executive Committee. Speaking to the media, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his gratitude to the former President and members of the Central Executive Committee for nominating him for the position of Prime Minister. He stated that he accepted this responsibility and will fulfill the expectations of the people and the party.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the Chief Justice has said that the elections are set in stone on February 8th, and the Noon and Tehreek-e-Insaf are parties of the elite, while he represents the poor people. He also expressed his desire for the People’s Party to end the politics of division and hatred, and for both Noon and Tehreek-e-Insaf to face legal challenges, it cannot be that the court deems one party eligible and the other ineligible. He also commented on Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman’s position on advancing the election, stating that they remember Judge Faiz Isa’s remarks that the election will be on February 8th, which is set in stone.
Chairman of the People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that first, politicians must adhere to democracy and the constitution, and then expect adherence to democracy and the constitution from the institutions.
