FTX founder, Sam Bankman-Fried, known for his appetite for risky bets, is considering taking the biggest gamble of his life: testifying in his own defense.
Bankman-Fried, who used to be a cryptocurrency star, is currently on trial in New York facing charges of fraud, money laundering, and other crimes. Over the past few weeks, he has been present in court as some of his former friends and colleagues provided what seemed to be incriminating testimony. According to these witnesses, Bankman-Fried intentionally directed and committed various illegal actions that resulted in the collapse of the FTX crypto exchange and the loss of billions of dollars belonging to customers.
