Israeli troops have entered Gaza from the north and east, resulting in intense fighting between Israeli forces and Hamas fighters. Israel has expanded its ground operations and continues to bombard the Palestinian territory. Since the assault on Gaza began on October 7, over 8,500 Palestinians have lost their lives.
