Islamabad: The District and Sessions Courts in Islamabad have reserved judgment on the acquittal request of PTI founder Imran Khan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Sheikh Rashid and other accused in the Real Freedom March case.
Judicial Magistrate Malik Imran reserved judgment on the acquittal request. Former federal minister Sheikh Rashid appeared before the court and the acquittal request was filed.
Co-accused Ali Nawaz Awan and Sadaqat Abbasi also appeared in court. PTI lawyers Sardar Masroor Advocate, Amna Ali, Rizwan Akhtar Awan, and Marza Asim Advocate appeared in court.
Sardar Masroor Advocate said in his arguments that the acquittal request was filed last February, and we want to provide evidence in support of the acquittal request today.
Judge Malik Imran said that Sadaqat Abbasi, Ali Nawaz Awan and Sheikh Rashid have come to court for the charges against them.
Sardar Masroor Advocate said that this FIR has been filed under Section 144 violation, there is no evidence in this case, there is no CCTV footage or any other evidence, the relevant person did not even file a case.
Pervez Khattak, Asad Qaiser, Asad Umar, and Ali Amin Gandapur are also included in the list of co-accused. A case is registered in Police Station Aye Nine related to the Freedom March against the accused.
