Karachi: Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi, has said in a few words that the Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan, Pakistan will host the event, and schedules have been sent to participating teams.

Expressing these thoughts, Mohsin Naqvi spoke to the media during a tour of the National Stadium. He watched the third match of the T20 International series between Pakistan and West Indies women’s teams, visited the Hanif Mohammad Regional Cricket Academy, and inspected the Oval Ground.

Mohsin Naqvi said that there is no reason for the Indian cricket team to refuse to come to Pakistan to play in the Champions Trophy. The Indian media has already started propaganda, so you (journalists) should also respond to it.

PCB Chairman was accompanied by Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer and General Manager of the National Stadium, Arshad Khan.

The PCB Chairman said that the Pakistan women’s team came close to winning against the West Indies but unfortunately lost the match. It is a pity, we have a lot of work to do on our national women’s team. Like the Pakistan cricket team, a foreign coach is also being sought for the women’s team. Measures will be taken for women cricketers just like men, the money from cricket will be invested in cricket, not kept in banks.

He said that there will soon be good news regarding the construction of a five-star hotel around the National Bank Stadium. The National Bank Stadium will be among the best stadiums in the world after development work. Mohsin Naqvi mentioned that the issue of ticket sales at PCB headquarters by the FIA is not that big, the National Investigative Agency is also under my jurisdiction, we will resolve the matter internally; if someone is doing well, we will not restrict them.

He informed that discussions have taken place with international consultants regarding the construction of the stadium, and on May 7, there is a bid for the upgrade of the stadium.
