Britney Spears has addressed the rumors of her potential return to the music industry.
After releasing the duet ‘Hold Me Closer‘ with Sir Elton John in August 2022, marking the end of her six-year hiatus from the music industry, reports of her collaborating with artists Julia Michaels and Charli XCX for new content began circulating on social media.
However, Spears refuted these reports on Instagram, stating that she has no intention of returning to the music industry and referred to the news as “trash”.
In a Twitter post, she reiterated her position, saying “I will never return to the music industry!!! When I write, I write for fun or I write for other people !!!”
