The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President, Roger Binny, and Vice President, Rajeev Shukla, are set to visit Pakistan on September 4 to attend a match during the Asia Cup 2023.

During their visit, the BCCI officials will also have a meeting with Zaka Ashraf, Chairman Management Committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

This invitation comes from the PCB, which extended an invitation to members of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and other cricket boards to attend the prestigious event.

The Asia Cup 2023 will begin with Pakistan facing Nepal on August 30 in Multan, and a total of four matches, including a Super 4s fixture, will be hosted by Pakistan.

The group stage matches for India, including the highly anticipated match against Pakistan on September 2, will be held in Kandy, while the rest of the Super 4s matches, including the final, will take place in Colombo.

If Pakistan and India both qualify for the Super 4s, they will face each other again on September 10 in Colombo. This could potentially lead to a maximum of three Pakistan-India matches in a single tournament, if both teams reach the final.

The Asia Cup 2023 will feature six teams, divided into two groups, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the Super 4s stage. The tournament will be held from August 31 to September 17.

The Asia Cup, played in the ODI format, serves as an excellent opportunity for Asian teams to prepare for the upcoming ICC Men’s World Cup.
