In a brave display of valor, the police and security forces effectively thwarted three separate militant attacks that occurred in the late hours of the night in Peshawar, Pakistan. These attacks took place in the vicinity of Mattani police station, which is situated along the border of the Kohat district, approximately 50 kilometers south of the provincial capital.
Officials from the police department reported that the militants launched an attack on the Hameed Khan police post. Armed with the latest weaponry, the militants opened fire from a nearby forest. However, due to the distance between the attackers and the police post, the militants were unable to hit their intended target. The police personnel swiftly returned fire, successfully repelling the attack. Thankfully, no casualties were reported.
Similarly, another attack was carried out on Fort Mackson, which is commonly referred to as Kishangar post. Again, the militants fired from a distance, but their efforts were effectively countered and repulsed.
The third attack occurred at the Azakhel Dam post. However, the personnel stationed there swiftly retaliated, successfully repulsing the attack.
Upon notification of these incidents, a communiqué was promptly sent to the Counter-Terrorism Department of the police, urging them to open investigations and register cases against the militants involved in these attacks.
By acting swiftly and courageously, the police and security forces demonstrated their commitment to protecting the safety and security of the citizens of Peshawar. These brave men and women risk their lives daily to maintain peace and order in the region.
