President Alvi Presents Civil Awards to Distinguished Individuals

President Arif Alvi has recently bestowed a total of 694 Civil Awards to both Pakistani citizens and foreigners in recognition of their outstanding contributions and achievements. The awards include Nishan-i-Imtiaz, Hilal-i-Pakistan, Hilal-i-Shujaat, Hilal-i-Iimtiaz, Hilal-i-Quaid-i-Azam, Sitara-i-Pakistan, Sitara-i-Shuja’at, Sitara-i-Imtiaz, President’s Award for Pride of Performance, Sitara-i-Quaid-i-Azam, Sitara-i-Khidmat, Tamgha-i-Shuja’at, and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz.

The recipients of the prestigious Nishan-i-Imtiaz award are Muhammad Hafeez Qureshi (Late) for his contributions to nuclear science, Iftikhar Arif for his contributions to literature (poetry/writing), Islahuddin Siddiqui for his services to sports (hockey), Syed Qaim Ali Shah for his exemplary public service, Raja Zafar Ul Haq for his distinguished public service, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar for her contributions to public service, and Air Marshal (R) Najib Akhtar for his remarkable public service.

Two individuals, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and He Lifeng, have been honored with the Hilal-i-Pakistan award for their notable services to Pakistan. Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera has been recognized with the Hilal-i-Shujaat award for his gallantry.

Various accomplished individuals have received the Hilal-i-Iimtiaz award, including Brig Syed Sarfraz Ali (Late) for his expertise in strategic planning and development, Prof Dr Shahid Mahmood Baig for his remarkable contributions to science, Prof Dr Mukhtar Ahmed and Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan for their significant contributions to education, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Umar for his outstanding contributions in the field of education and medical sciences.

The President’s Award for Pride of Performance has been presented to 70 individuals in various fields such as environmental biotechnology, science, physics, nuclear engineering, engineering, chemical engineering, film direction and fashion designing, literature (poetry), journalism, social services, and public service.

This year’s civil awards also pay homage to distinguished personalities in the field of arts, including actors, singers, musicians, painters, and writers. These individuals have made significant contributions to Pakistani arts and culture and have been recognized for their talent and dedication.

The Civil Awards ceremony celebrates and honors remarkable individuals who have made exceptional contributions in their respective fields and have brought pride to Pakistan.
