2024 Pakistan Elections: Current Party Positions

Despite widespread internet and mobile shutdowns, political violence, and terror attacks, millions of Pakistanis exercised their right to vote to elect their representatives for a five-year term.

A total of 17,816 independent and party-affiliated candidates contested for 265 National Assembly, 296 Punjab Assembly, 130 Sindh Assembly, 113 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and 51 Balochistan seats.

While the polling was conducted in 855 constituencies out of 859, voting will not be held in NA 8, PP 266, PK 22, and PK 91 due to the death of a candidate.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released unofficial complete results for 264 NA seats out of 265.

According to the unofficial results from an electoral watchdog, independent candidates were leading with 95 seats, followed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) with 79 seats.

Pakistan People’s Party managed to secure 54 NA seats, while MQM-P clinched 17 NA seats and IPP, BNP secured two seats each. Additionally, JUI-F secured four seats, PML-Q secured three, and MWM, PML-Z, PMAP, and PNAP each clinched victory in one NA seat.
