The Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Niazullah Niazi, said that we have conducted the elections within 20 days according to the instructions and constitution of the Election Commission. Tomorrow, we will notify the election results and present them to the Election Commission.
Speaking to the media in the program “Center Stage” of Express News, Chief Election Commissioner Niazullah Niazi said that he is surprised at those criticizing the intra-party elections of PTI. Political parties are criticizing the intra-party elections even though they do not conduct such elections themselves. These parties also engage in rigging during general elections.
He raised the question of whether the political parties criticizing PTI’s intra-party elections have ever conducted elections within their own party. PTI has conducted intra-party elections every time, and even the Peoples Party should conduct and oversee their own elections.
The Chief Election Commissioner of PTI further said that we have conducted the elections within 20 days according to the instructions of the Election Commission. We conducted the intra-party elections in accordance with the constitution and the law, and tomorrow we will notify the election results and present them to the Election Commission.
He also said that if there is an attempt to exclude us from the political arena, we will counter it. Responding to a question about criticism from founder and leader of PTI, Akbar Ayub Babar, Niazullah Niazi said that Babar has been expelled from the party and therefore he is criticizing the intra-party elections.
