Islamabad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly protested two days ago attacks on security forces in Bannu district by Afghan citizens. According to the spokesperson, the Afghan embassy in Islamabad was requested and condemned the suicide attack on the security forces convoy by an Afghan citizen in Bannu on November 26. The responsibility for the suicide attack on the security forces convoy in Bannu was claimed by Hafiz Gul Bahadur group. The Afghan representatives were asked for a complete investigation and action against the perpetrators and handlers of the Bannu attack.

It was also emphasized that Pakistan needs to take immediate and verifiable actions against all terrorist groups and their hideouts, and demanded the arrest and handover of Hafiz Gul Bahadur to Pakistan to stop the use of Afghan territory for terrorism against Pakistan. It should be noted that two days ago, an Afghan suicide bomber targeted a security forces convoy in Bannu, resulting in two civilians being killed and ten others, including three young people, being injured.

A statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) mentioned that on November 26, a motorcycle-borne suicide bomber targeted the security forces convoy in General Area Bokakhel, near Bannu district, causing two civilian casualties, seven injuries, and three military personnel. The suicide bomber was identified as an Afghan citizen associated with the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group. The terrorist’s name is Rabaniullah, son of Khanullah, with identity number 08916164. Rabaniullah entered Pakistan on an Afghan identity card on November 26th.
