During the election campaign in the state of Bihar, former president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, current Minister of External Affairs, and long-time friend of Modi, Amit Shah, narrowly escaped a helicopter accident. According to Indian media reports, the 59-year-old Foreign Minister’s helicopter lost control as it was taking off during a rally, swaying slightly to the right at a low altitude before hitting the ground again. However, the pilot skillfully regained control of the helicopter and successfully completed the flight. While Amit Shah and his other companions remained unharmed, the helicopter suffered some damage.

It is worth noting that 5 years ago, Amit Shah had also fallen after slipping out of his helicopter and had suffered minor injuries. Currently, the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Janata Dal United have formed an electoral alliance in Bihar, with BJP contesting 17 seats and JD-U fielding 16 candidates. The general elections in India are being held in 7 phases, with 2 phases already completed. The remaining phases will end on June 1st and the results will be announced on June 4th.
