Karachi: An important revelation has come to light in the case of the suspect’s death in the lockdown of the Darakhshan police station.
During the investigation of the incident of the suspect Muaz Naseem’s death at the hands of the Darakhshan police, it has been revealed that the suspect Muaz did not die at the Darakhshan police station.
According to police sources, Muaz Naseem was taken into custody by the Darakhshan police on the recommendation of former SP Clifton Neerul Haq, and after taking him into custody, the suspect Muaz was handed over to SP Clifton.
Police sources said that SP Neerul Haq had taken Muaz to an undisclosed location where Muaz was subjected to severe torture, and SP Neerul Haq is directly involved in the incident.
SP Neerul Haq has not yet appeared before the inquiry committee and has not provided his statement either.
On the other hand, SHO Darakhshan Ali Raza Laghari and Head Editor Faisal Ahmed have submitted their statements to the inquiry team, with all the details regarding the incident clearly stated in the statements.
Police sources say that since the incident, all phone numbers of SP Clifton Neerul Haq are also switched off, and SP Clifton is hiding from the inquiry and raids are being conducted to arrest him.
Police sources say that the initial medical report of the suspect Muaz has also been released, which states that the suspect Muaz was subjected to severe torture, and there are multiple cases of check bounce against the suspect Muaz in various police stations.
Police sources say that by Thursday night, the inquiry committee will prepare its inquiry report and present it to senior police officials.
