Lahore: Director of Pakistan cricket team Muhammad Hafeez has said that the team is enthusiastic for the tour of Australia and all players are hungry to show their performance.
Addressing a press conference at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Muhammad Hafeez said that there is no need for us to look at past records, but only to look ahead because we are responsible for our own actions. The team is enthusiastic to face the challenge of Australia. We are going with a winning mindset. We are not thinking about anything else at the moment.
Muhammad Hafeez said that as the team director, my job is to see the team’s strategy in action. The coaching staff will provide facilities so that it can be ensured that the players can perform according to their abilities and plans.
Muhammad Hafeez said that we do not need a head coach at the moment, but if we need one in the future, we will request a head coach. We have also included some other names in the coaching staff which will be revealed in due time.
He said that the players will give their best performance in Australia. Everyone is eager to give a good performance. Everyone’s mind is clear, we will bring better results.
Regarding the effects of changing captains on the dressing room, Muhammad Hafeez said that it does not matter whether you are made captain or not, but your performance is essential for the team.
Muhammad Hafeez said that Babar Azam is the most important player in the strong team and he continues to help Shan Masood during training. Babar Azam’s services for the Pakistan cricket team cannot be denied.
