Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has scheduled hearings for appeals against trials in military courts in Swat and a disciplinary action against Justice Mazhar Naqvi by the Supreme Judicial Council.

The Supreme Court has set a date of December 15th for the hearing of Justice Mazhar Ali Naqvi’s appeals against the disciplinary action by the Supreme Judicial Council. Additionally, the inter-court appeals against the trials in Swat’s military courts will be heard on December 13th. It is expected that a larger bench of the Supreme Court will handle the inter-court appeals related to military courts.

It should be noted that the federal government and the Ministry of Defense have filed appeals against the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the trials in Swat’s military courts.

According to sources, the Chief Justice of Pakistan’s Bench One has decided to record all judicial proceedings and publish them on the Supreme Court’s website. These decisions were made in an important meeting of the three-member committee of the Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice Faez Isa. The committee includes Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Ejaz ul Hassan.
