Islamabad: The federal government has decided to launch a special polio eradication campaign in three provinces, which will run from 25th to 28th March. According to sources, the special polio campaign will be conducted in districts with positive sewage samples, while the Outbreak Response Polio Campaign will be carried out in Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan. A polio vaccination campaign will target over 82 lakh children in 26 districts.
As per sources, the polio campaign will be conducted in 11 districts of Balochistan, 8 districts of Sindh, and 7 districts of Punjab. Special immunization drives will take place in specified areas of Faisalabad, Khairpur, and Qasoor. Additionally, polio campaigns will be carried out in Ghotki, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Khairpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Shikarpur, Qambar, DG Khan, Multan, Rajanpur, Okara, Faisalabad, Qasoor, and Rahim Yar Khan.
Sources further mentioned that polio campaigns will also be conducted in Dera Bugti, Usta Mohammad, Sibi, Hub, Chaman, Khuzdar, Kech, Lasbela, Sahibzatpur, Nasirabad, and Jaffarabad.
