Rawalpindi: Security forces successfully thwarted an attack by terrorists on Pakistan Navy’s PNS Siddiq, killing 4 attackers while a soldier was martyred in the gunfire exchange.
According to ISPR, terrorists attempted to attack PNS Siddiq on the night between 25 and 26 March but security forces effectively responded to protect the assets, ensuring the attackers were unsuccessful.
Security forces in the surrounding area were immediately mobilized for assistance, and after a successful operation by armed forces, all four terrorists were killed in a joint clearance operation.
During intense firing exchanges, Frontier Corps Balochistan soldier Nauman Fareed bravely embraced martyrdom. The 24-year-old martyr was a resident of Muzaffargarh.
A sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any other terrorists in the area. Pakistan Armed Forces are determined to eradicate terrorism from the country at any cost.
