Ajmer: Unidentified extremists in India entered a mosque and brutally martyred the imam. According to Indian media, three veiled extremists attacked and killed the mosque imam in the Kanchan Nagar area of Ajmer, Rajasthan on Saturday morning.
Police stated that during the incident, the 30-year-old mosque imam, Maulana Mohammad Maher, was present with his students at the Madni mosque when three veiled extremists attacked him with sticks and brutally martyred him.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Ramganj police arrived at the mosque and found Maulana Mohammad Maher covered in blood. His body was transferred to the Jawahar Lal Nehru Hospital in Ajmer for post-mortem.
The students informed the police that the culprits had also threatened to kill them if they made noise, and they took the imam’s mobile phone with them when they left.
