The Pakistan Army has congratulated the nation on the peaceful conduct of the general elections. In a statement issued by the ISPR, it was stated that the armed forces are proud to have played an important role in ensuring the security and smooth conduct of the sacred electoral process, in accordance with the constitution of Pakistan. The spokesperson for the Pakistan Army stated that despite 51 cowardly and terrorist attacks, mainly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, the security forces remained determined. These attacks resulted in the martyrdom of 12 individuals, including 10 security forces personnel and 39 others were injured, while 5 terrorists were also killed during various operations.
The spokesperson highlighted the effective maintenance of peace and security throughout Pakistan, neutralizing many potential threats through active intelligence and immediate action. He expressed hope that the sacrifices made will not be in vain and that the elections will further strengthen democracy in Pakistan and fulfill the aspirations of the people. The armed forces are dedicated to maintaining peace and security in the country and are prepared to provide unwavering support for the protection of the state’s democratic traditions.
