Karachi: Former captain of the national cricket team, Shahid Afridi, announced his support for Mohammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz on their appointment as chief selector and director at the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Speaking on a private TV channel program, Shahid Afridi said, “It has been my stance from day one that responsibility in the cricket board should be given to those who have played cricket so that good and courageous decisions can be made.”
Afridi said, “Hafeez and Wahab have just come and both have played cricket for a long time, so I am confident that they will make good decisions.”
The former captain said, “Hafeez and Wahab have just arrived and it will take time for them to do things and learn, but I will support them and hope that they will make good decisions.”
