A prisoner was murdered after being sexually assaulted in Adiala Central Jail, Rawalpindi. The police have filed a case against four suspects for assault and murder and have taken them into custody. According to Express News, the inmate Sabeel was brutally murdered after being sexually assaulted in cell 2 of Adiala Jail. The case of the murder was registered in response to the request of the Adiala Jail Superintendent at the Saddar Berooni Police Station in Rawalpindi, and the four suspects have been taken into custody. The police stated that the case has been registered under charges of murder and assault. The victim Sabeel was strangled to death by the suspects after being sexually assaulted. The suspect Waqas had put his foot on Sabeel’s throat and chest, and the victim was found unconscious in cell 2 on the morning of January 1. He was later pronounced dead after being transferred to the jail hospital. There were signs of strangulation on the victim’s neck, raising suspicions of foul play. The police have confirmed that the body of the victim has been handed over to the heirs after the post-mortem examination.
