Famous actor Yashma Gill recently shared her struggles in finding a life partner and revealed that she has sought the help of a marriage bureau.
During a recent interview on a private news channel, Yashma Gill spoke candidly about the difficulties she has encountered while trying to find a suitable partner for marriage in today’s world.
“Finding a husband has become quite a task these days, and it can also be quite expensive,” Gill expressed during the discussion.
Due to her busy shooting schedule, with work consuming almost 12 hours a day, Gill found it challenging to search for a potential partner on her own. As a result, she decided to take a chance and reach out to a marriage bureau for assistance.
“They asked me to have a video call to verify my identity and ensure that I am indeed Yashma Gill and not a scammer. I was hopeful that this would deliver some positive results,” she shared.
Gill went on to reveal that the marriage bureau demanded a registration fee of Rs.4 lakhs and an additional Rs.4 lakhs for the proposal. “So you need a total of Rs.8 lakhs to find yourself a groom,” Gill stated.
The host panel and audiences expressed equal shock and disbelief upon hearing about this trend.
On the work front, Yashma Gill is currently starring in the drama serial ‘Tere Ishq Ke Naam’, alongside Hiba Bukhari, Zaviyar Naumaan Ejaz, and Usama Khan.
The ensemble cast of the show also includes Jamal Shah, Nida Mumtaz, Arisha Razi Khan, Nadia Afghan, Sajid Shah, and Munazzah Arif.
The serial, written by Maha Malik and directed by Ahmed Bhatti (known for ‘Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi’), airs every Thursday and Friday in prime time on ARY Digital.
