Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar celebrated his 56th birthday by sharing the hilarious teaser for the third film in the ‘Welcome’ franchise, titled ‘Welcome to the Jungle’.
Akshay Kumar posted the teaser of this comedy flick on his social media accounts.
The trailer has received mixed responses, with some appreciating its sense of humor, while others criticized the choice of director Ahmed Khan, known for several flops.
However, many fans expressed their disappointment over the absence of Uday (Nana Patekar) and his brother Majnu (Anil Kapoor), as they believe that the film is incomplete without them.
It’s worth mentioning that Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor decided not to be a part of ‘Welcome 3’.
Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal will reprise their roles as Rajiv and his uncle Dr. Ghungroo in ‘Welcome to the Jungle’. The star-studded cast also includes Sanjay Dutt, Bobby Deol, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Arshad Warsi, Johny Lever, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Lara Dutta, Disha Patani, and Jacqueline Fernandez.
‘Welcome’ was released in 2007 and received critical acclaim. It starred Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, and Paresh Rawal in lead roles and their dialogues became popular memes.
A sequel titled ‘Welcome Back’ was released, with John Abraham and Shruti Hassan as the main protagonists. It also featured the return of the original cast, including Katrina Kaif, Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak, Anil Kapoor, and Nana Patekar, along with other notable actors.
