In a video statement on social media, the mother of Usman Dar has made serious allegations against Khawaja Asif. She claims that Khawaja Asif achieved his goals against Usman Dar at gunpoint and that her son had to quit politics because of it. However, she states that she will continue to fight against Khawaja Asif in the political arena.

Earlier in the day, Usman Dar, a leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, accused the imprisoned party chairman, Imran Khan, of masterminding the events that took place on May 9th. He claimed that Imran Khan had directly ordered the attacks on sensitive installations.
During an appearance on a private news channel, Usman Dar revealed that the planning for the May 9th riots was finalized in a meeting held at Zaman Park under the leadership of Imran Khan. He alleged that Imran Khan had instructed party leaders to target sensitive installations if he was ever arrested.
Usman Dar also accused the PTI chairman of using party workers as human shields to avoid arrest. He claimed that the brainwashing of PTI workers resulted in the violent incidents at the Judicial Complex Islamabad and Zaman Park.
Dar further alleged that Imran Khan supported an anti-state narrative and was responsible for the current status of the political party. He condemned the May 9th riots and stated that they had severely shaken the foundation of the PTI.
Usman Dar claimed that the conspiracy to target the Pakistan Army had been planned for a long time and that Imran Khan fully supported the policy of confrontation with the state. He also named Hammad Azhar, Murad Saeed, Azam Swati, and Farrukh Habib as members of the anti-establishment lobby within the PTI who were close to the PTI chairman.
