US Ambassador Donald Blome Reaffirms Development Cooperation with Pakistan

The United States Ambassador to Pakistan, Donald Blome, recently met with Caretaker Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Muhammad Sami Saeed. During the meeting, they discussed various matters of mutual interest between the two countries.

Both parties expressed their appreciation for the support that Pakistan has received from the US in terms of development cooperation, bilateral trade, and investment promotion. They also highlighted their commitment to strengthening and enhancing the existing bilateral relations.

Caretaker Minister Sami Saeed emphasized the government’s efforts to revive the national economy. He mentioned the establishment of a Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) that aims to attract foreign investment in sectors such as Mines and Minerals, Agriculture, Information Technology, and Energy. The minister invited US companies to explore investment opportunities in these sectors.

Ambassador Blome assured the continuation of development cooperation between the US and Pakistan. He affirmed the US’s support for Pakistan’s efforts to revive its economy.
