Karachi: The police have successfully thwarted a major terrorist plot in the city by arresting two extremely dangerous terrorists associated with the group ‘Ra’.
SSP Korangi, Hassan Sardar, stated that through coordinated targeted operations based on technical foundations by the industrial area police and sensitive agencies, two highly profiled terrorists involved in terrorism and target killing were apprehended.
According to the police, the arrested suspects were found in possession of two hand grenades, a 9mm pistol, and bullets. The apprehended terrorists have been identified as Khawar Hussain s/o Abdul Ghani and Jaber s/o Mushtaq.
During the initial investigation of the arrested suspects, important revelations have come to light. The suspects were in contact with targets from abroad and were sending all details and images outside the country.
SSP Hassan Sardar mentioned that the suspects have received hundreds of thousands of rupees through various foreign bank accounts. The investigation is ongoing with the suspects, and more revelations are expected to come to light.
