The popular micro-blogging website X, formerly known as Twitter, experienced a 39-hour outage in Pakistan, impacting users’ ability to access tweets and new posts. The outage started at 9 p.m. on Saturday and was confirmed by cybersecurity watchdog NetBlocks. This incident is part of a series of recent internet service disruptions in the country, particularly concerning as the 2024 general elections approach. Notably, X had a global outage in May 2023, prompting widespread user complaints.
