The Civil Aviation Authority has announced that Airbus 320 and Boeing 737 are now permitted to land at Turbat International Airport.

Prior to the upgrade, only ATR and other small aircraft were able to land at Turbat airport. There are reports suggesting that foreign airlines may commence their flight operations at the Turbat International Airport.

In April, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) temporarily closed Turbat Airport for night flights for a period of five months due to repair work.

In a significant development, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has decided to build a ‘state-of-the-art’ air traffic control (ATC) tower at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.

During a board meeting in Karachi, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) approved crucial decisions focused on improving airport infrastructure and safety measures.

The authority has also planned to construct a world-class Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower and a Rescue Fire Fighting (RFF) complex at Jinnah International Airport.

It is important to note that a nine-member committee was established to divide the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

The committee’s responsibilities include transferring current assets and funds to the two organizations as well as overseeing the transfer of employees, records, offices, and furniture. Additionally, the committee will have authority to distribute machinery, vehicles, and funds.
