Karachi: In October 2023, State Bank of Pakistan received a remittance of $2.5 billion from Pakistanis, as compared to September. According to the State Bank, there was a monthly increase of 11.5% and an annual increase of 9.6% in remittances during October 2023 due to growth.
During the first four months of the financial year 2024, remittances of $8.8 billion were received from workers.
During October 2023, the majority of remittances came from Saudi Arabia with $616.8 million, followed by the United Arab Emirates with $473.9 million, the United Kingdom with $330.2 million, and the United States with $283.3 million.
