The widow of a police officer who was transferred during duty in Karachi is facing hardships in obtaining her husband’s pension and GP fund, as the police department has turned a blind eye to her situation.
After the transfer of Sub Inspector Syed Shakib Haseeb Shah from the Qaidabad police station, his family is facing financial crisis but they have not received his pension or taken any paperwork action for the GP fund.
The widow, who has completed her mourning period, told ‘Express’ that her husband joined as a constable in 1992 and served 30 years in the police department, but after his death, the police department has ignored the issues faced by their five daughters and four sons.
The transfer of Sub Inspector took place on August 28 when he was going to court, but they still have not received their August and September pensions, and no one has provided any guidance for the GP fund either.
The widow of the police officer mentioned that she spent her entire life taking care of her household and now she does not know about the complexities of the offices she will have to deal with.
The widow of the police officer has appealed to Sindh Police IG Raja Rafaqat to release the remaining pension of her late husband, provide the GP fund and recruit her eldest son in the police department.
