Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sealed the central office of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Islamabad, ending illegal constructions and encroachments.

According to details, a team from CDA, along with heavy police presence, conducted an operation to eliminate illegal constructions and encroachments at the central office of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, sealing the office.

CDA officials stated that in Sector G-8/4, violations and illegal constructions were carried out by a political party, with additional floors being built on the plot. The plot was owned by a person named Sartaaj Ali, who was evicted from the land and encroachments were removed.

Authorities also mentioned that multiple other violations were committed by the plot owner, with notices being issued repeatedly. The first notice was issued on November 19, 2020, the second on February 22, 2021, followed by another notice on June 14, 2022, and a warning notice on September 4, 2023 for failing to rectify the violations.

According to CDA officials, due to non-compliance with the directions and failure to rectify violations, the plot was ordered to be sealed on May 10, 2024. An operation was conducted to enforce building laws and remove encroachments.

A spokesperson for CDA stated that the campaign to eliminate violations and illegal constructions will continue indiscriminately throughout the city.

Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Barrister Gohar, instructed the employees present on the occasion to remain peaceful.
