Taxi Driver Tragically Killed in Robbery Attempt as He is Dragged Under Own Car

In a shocking and deeply saddening incident, a 43-year-old taxi driver lost his life after a group of robbers attempted to steal his car and dragged him for approximately 1.5 kilometres. This horrifying event took place in the Mahipalpur area of New Delhi, the capital city of India, and the video footage capturing the incident has been widely circulated on social media platforms.

The victim, identified as Bijendra and a resident of Faridabad, was found dead on the service road of National Highway-8 in Delhi late on Tuesday evening.

The distressing video shows the taxi driver being mercilessly dragged on the road by the robbers. He was trapped between the rear and front wheels on the right side of the vehicle. Suffering severe injuries during this terrifying ordeal, Bijendra tragically succumbed to his wounds later on.

This is a heinous act of violence.

According to reports from Indian media, the police have apprehended two suspects from Meerut in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It has been revealed that one of the arrested individuals had previously been involved in four cases in Uttar Pradesh and two cases in Delhi, while the other suspect had a criminal record of seven cases in Uttar Pradesh and two cases in Delhi.
