The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that spinner Abrar Ahmed will not be playing in the first Test against Australia in Perth on December 14. Abrar left the field during a warm-up match due to severe pain in his right leg around the knee. He underwent an MRI scan and will undergo an intervention in Perth on Monday. The PCB said that while he has not been ruled out of the Test series yet, further assessment will determine his availability for the second Test. Off-spinner Sajid Khan has been approved to travel to Perth as a replacement for Abrar.
