Hollywood actress Sophie Turner has recently confirmed her divorce from singer Joe Jonas. This news has garnered an outpouring of support from her fellow celebrities, especially from her ‘Game of Thrones’ co-stars.

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas began dating in 2016 and got engaged in October of the following year. They had two weddings, one impromptu and another more formal, in 2019. The couple has two daughters together, Willa, 3, and D., 1.

Over the past six months, the couple reportedly faced significant challenges in their relationship, leading to their decision to separate. Additionally, they recently sold their mansion.

Sophie Turner, who portrayed Sansa Stark in ‘Game of Thrones,’ shared a joint statement from the estranged couple. The statement highlighted that they have mutually decided to end their marriage on amicable terms.

Fellow ‘Game of Thrones’ celebrities Emilia Clarke, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Maisie Williams, who played Daenerys Targaryen, Missandei, and Arya Stark respectively, demonstrated their support by liking Sophie Turner’s post.

Sansa Stark, Sophie Turner’s character in the show, was the second child of King and Queen of the North, Ned Stark (Sean Bean), and Lady Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley). She had siblings Robb (Richard Madden), Arya, Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright), and Rickon (Art Parkinson), as well as a step-sibling, Jon Snow (Kit Harrington).

In the series, Sansa Stark marries Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) but later orchestrates his demise by feeding him to his own hounds. Eventually, her character becomes the Queen of the North in the show’s finale.

It is important to note that this storyline development does not occur in the books on which the series is based.
