Santa’s helpers took a break from their busy holiday schedule to hit the slopes at Sunday River ski resort in western Maine. More than 300 red-suited Santas participated in the annual event, donning their full Kringle garb and raising $8,000 for The River Fund Maine, an education charity.

The festive kickoff to the holiday and skiing season has been a tradition for over 20 years, with the exception of last year due to the pandemic. The event’s rules require the Santas to wear a hat with a white pompom, and they did not disappoint.

Sunday River Resort’s Dana Bullen expressed gratitude for the generosity of the Santa Sunday participants and emphasized the positive impact their contributions have on local students.
