Senior military officials express concern over unproven claims of meddling in Pakistan’s elections


The military’s top leadership expressed concern at the 263rd Corps Commanders’ Conference about unfounded allegations of interference in the electoral process being spread in some segments of society and social media. The armed forces reiterated that they provided security during the General Election 2024 and had no involvement in the electoral process. They emphasized the need for evidence-based legal processes rather than baseless political rhetoric.

The military also highlighted their commitment to justice for those involved in the May 9 riots and condemned attempts to distort the events. They urged the people of Pakistan to remain united and positive in the face of misinformation.

Additionally, the forum expressed solidarity with Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and condemned human rights violations in Gaza. The military vowed to continue supporting Pakistan’s security and development efforts while dealing with terrorists and their facilitators with full force.
