The Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee has announced that the moon for the month of Rabiul Awwal was not sighted in any part of Pakistan. As a result, the month will officially start from Monday, September 18, and the festival of Eid-i-Miladun Nabi will be celebrated on September 29.

The decision was made during a meeting of the committee, chaired by Chairman Abdul Khabeer Azad, in Islamabad. The meeting was attended by religious scholars from different schools of thought as well as weather experts.

According to Chairman Azad, the weather conditions were cloudy in most parts of the country, with clear skies in some areas. No credible reports of moon sightings were received from any location across Pakistan.

Following the meeting, the Ministry of Religious Affairs issued an official notification confirming the decision.

Prominent members of both the Central and Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees, including Mufti Zameer Ahmed Sajid, Mufti Muhammad Iqbal Naemi, Mufti Abdul Salam Jalali, Allama Mustafa Haider Naqvi, and others, attended the meeting.

Muslims all over the world celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal, which is considered the third month of the Islamic lunar calendar and is known as Mawlid al-Nabawi.
