President Xi to Hold Summit with Biden and Participate in APEC Economic Meeting

Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to visit San Francisco from November 14 to 17 for a bilateral meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden and to attend the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting. This will be the first in-person meeting between the two leaders since last year. The meeting will focus on issues of strategic importance in shaping China-U.S. relations and major issues concerning world peace and development. President Xi will also deliver a speech at the APEC meeting to elaborate on China’s proposals for deepening Asia-Pacific cooperation and driving regional and global growth. The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized the importance of focusing on the region’s urgent needs and working towards positive outcomes at the meeting.
