The central executive committee (CEC) of the Pakistan Peoples Party is holding an important meeting in Islamabad regarding government formation in Sindh and Punjab.
According to details, the CEC meeting was held in Islamabad under the leadership of PPP Parliamentarians President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, with all members in attendance.
At the beginning of the meeting, homage was paid to the martyrs of democracy. The members of the central executive committee expressed their confidence in the leadership of President PPPP Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, giving them the authority to make all decisions.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the general elections and the public’s response, as well as an exchange of opinions on the country’s future.
Various suggestions were made by the members of the central executive committee of the Pakistan Peoples Party regarding the country’s political, economic, and government situation.
Prior to this, it was reported that negotiations between the Pakistan Peoples Party and the PML-N for government formation at the federal and Punjab levels had entered the final round. It was said that the PML-N might offer the position of Prime Minister to Bilawal Bhutto, while the PPP had also started discussions about important positions in the federal and Punjab governments.
It is also said that a meeting between the leadership of the PML-N and PPP is expected for government formation, and the Chief Minister of Punjab, a PML-N member, and the PPP will each play a role in finalizing the power-sharing formula.
