In the highly anticipated 2024 presidential race, prominent figures such as Trump, Biden, and Haley are expected to be major contenders, with a potential for some independents to make the competition even more interesting.

Former President Donald Trump and former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley are vying for the Republican party’s nomination, while President Joe Biden is considered the Democratic party’s presumptive nominee. A number of third-party candidates are also in the running.

Trump, who remains popular among Republicans despite facing legal challenges, leads the pack with 64% support. He has pledged to seek revenge against his enemies if re-elected and has proposed sweeping changes ranging from immigration policies to healthcare reform.

Nikki Haley, a former South Carolina governor and Trump’s former ambassador to the UN, offers a contrasting voice in the Republican field. She has emphasized her youth and immigrant background as strengths in her campaign against Trump, who has attacked her ethnicity and eligibility for office.

On the Democratic side, President Joe Biden, the oldest US president in history at 81, faces challenges from within his party for his handling of the economy, immigration, and foreign policy. Despite his efforts to defend American liberties and confront national security threats, he faces criticism for his response to the conflict in Gaza and the immigration crisis at the US-Mexico border.

Several independents, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Cornel West, and Jill Stein, are also running for president, with varying degrees of support and platforms focused on progressive policies and political reform. These candidates could potentially sway the election outcome and impact the broader political landscape.
