Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently inaugurated the Bhara Kahu bypass, a project completed in a remarkable time of just 9 months. The prime minister expressed his delight at the completion of the project, emphasizing how it will enhance tourism and reduce travel time.

The newly constructed Barakahu Bypass, spanning 5.4 kilometers, includes a 1350-meter-long overhead bridge. Its completion is expected to save time for travelers and promote tourism, benefiting those traveling to KPK and AJK (Azad Jammu and Kashmir).

In his address at the ceremony, PM Shehbaz praised the efforts of the army chief, General Asim Munir, and the National Logistics Cell (NLC) for their significant contributions to the successful completion of the project. He also urged the authorities to make the highway aesthetically pleasing through landscaping, making it green, clean, and beautiful.

The prime minister expressed his hope that the political leadership and government departments would make the bypass as magnificent as the road structures and landscapes of Baku, Azerbaijan, serving as an inspiration for future development projects. He emphasized the importance of political consensus and the need for all institutions of Pakistan to work selflessly, with dedication and commitment, towards the nation’s progress.

Not only will the Bhara Kahu bypass benefit the local residents, but it will also facilitate the people of Murree, Galyat, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, providing them with improved connectivity and ease of travel.
